Introduction to Competition is a 90-minute classroom class for shooters who want to understand the safety procedures, range commands and match flow of practical shooting. 1st Shots Competition is a separate three-hour live-fire class for people ready to put their fundamentals into practice.
Start in the classroom if you want to learn the format first. Choose the live-fire option if you are ready to shoot. You can book either class from this page; check each calendar for current availability.

Do I need competition experience?
No. This is an introductory course. Safe firearm handling and basic shooting fundamentals are recommended.
Which option includes live fire?
1st Shots Competition is the live-fire option. Introduction to Competition is a separate classroom class covering safety, procedures, range commands, scoring and preparation.
How much are the classes and how long are they?
The classroom Introduction to Competition is 90 minutes and $25 per student, with a maximum of 12 students. The live-fire 1st Shots Competition is 180 minutes and $75 per student, with a maximum of 8 students.
When can I book each class?
The classroom class is scheduled for 5:00 PM on the first Friday of each month. The live-fire class has separate sessions. Select either option in the booking calendar for currently available dates.
Do I have to take the classroom class first?
