General Shooting Safety Rules

All firearms, when carried anywhere in this facility, must be cased, and unloaded

No steel case, steel core, incendiary, tracer, exploding or tipped ammo of any kind. All rifle ammunition will be inspected before going on the range. For your convenience, please bring rifle magazines unloaded.

Muzzleloaders and Black Powders are prohibited

Open-toed shoes and low-cut tops are prohibited for your safety

Sleeves are encouraged. Customers who choose to wear tank tops and sleeveless shirts do so at their own risk.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility. If you observe safety issues or strange behavior, please report it IMMEDIATELY
Range Rules at Apotheon

Keep the muzzle downrange, at all times

Hearing and eye protection are required at all times

Never pass a firearm to another person or from booth to booth

Never extend any part of your body forward of the firing line (If you drop equipment over the line, request assistance)

Drawing from a holster is only available to Members. Ask a representative at check in for approval if you are a member.

Upon the command “CEASE FIRE,” all shooting MUST stop IMMEDIATELY. Firearms must be cleared and placed on the shooting bench with slide or bolt locked back. Then, step back and await instructions from the Range Safety Officer (RSO).

If a malfunction occurs and you cannot clear the problem, keep your finger off the trigger, ensure the firearm is pointed downrange, and signal an RSO for assistance. Never turn or leave the firing line with a malfunctioning firearm in hand.
